This short video tutorial demonstrates how to set up and use Perusall within Moodle to create collaborative reading and annotation activities. It provides clear, step-by-step guidance on connecting Moodle and Perusall, uploading materials, and linking assignments so that students can engage directly with course readings.
I created this tutorial to help instructors use Perusall more effectively within Moodle. The goal was to simplify the integration process by breaking it into four steps:
Connect Moodle to Perusall
Upload content such as documents, webpages, or videos
Create assignments in Perusall
Add links to assignments in Moodle
The video was produced with Camtasia and includes screencast demonstrations and transition slides. I wrote the script, recorded the narration, and performed all video editing.
Step-by-Step Demonstration – Shows each stage of setup in sequence.
Narrated Screencast – Provides clear, guided explanations throughout.
Visual Cues – Highlights key actions on screen to make steps easier to follow.
Practical Application – Focuses on realistic workflows instructors can apply immediately.
This tutorial supports faculty learning by providing an on-demand resource for using Perusall in their courses. It contributes to a growing library of short instructional videos designed to make educational technology more approachable. The project also demonstrates my experience in video-based instruction, technology integration, and the design of concise, task-oriented training materials.
