NIVAN -
MONDAY - Worked on the components at home and made the discovery that our current power supply was not ample for our project. A new power supply was purchased that would better meet the standard our project meets and can provide appropriate power while being easy to incorporate among the electrical schematic.
TUESDAY - The delivery of the power supply was slightly delayed. It is expected to arrive tomorrow. In the meanwhile we measured and tested different inserts and screws to see which would be the best fit for our project. The primary candidate found were M3 screws that are 10mm.
WEDNESDAY - The new power supply has arrived. After doing some testing we have discovered the optimal voltage for the power supply is 9 volts.
THURSDAY - Worked on assembling the physical product. After talking with Mr.Rojas we found the inserts would work better than screw nuts for this project. This is representative of developing a solution as we came up with a new strategy to help us with the construction and testing of the project.
FRIDAY - Continued to work on physical assembly. Took components home to work on them over the long weekend.

MONDAY - Reviewed what Nivan worked on over the weekend, he found out that the power supply that he had from a previous project didn't give enough watts to the components that we are using for this project.
TUESDAY - continued with the work on the electrical components, started to put in the skews on the base plate
WEDNESDAY - with the new power supply we tested the Arduino with 12 V the component started to smoke, we lowered the volts to 9 V
THURSDAY - continued with the physical build of the base mount by assembling the side plates
FRIDAY - Finished with the physical assembly of the base, found the right size screws and used inserts instead of nuts. the nuts that we tried to use were to big

This is the new power supply purchased for the project. The benefit to this power supply compared to the last one is the increase in wattage as the new power supply has a wattage of 72 Watts. Additionally the accessories that come along side the product allow for it to easily be incorporated into our electrical schematic as an external source of power. This further progresses into the Developing Solutions phase of the engineering process creating solutions for situations withing the project itself that are within our resources.
Instead of using screw nuts we decided it would be best to use inserts to attach the side panels to the base. They more easily fit and offer the same end result. This is representative of developing a solution as we came up with a new strategy to help us with the construction and testing of the project.
During the Construction and Testing phase of our project we discovered that the school computers were having some difficulties uploading our code because some of the essential libaries were blocked by the schools servers. In hopes of solving this issue we are trying to upload the code on our personal devices in hopes that the libaries can be properly installed there.
Goals for Week 7
Week 7:
Obtain new Power Supply (Fufiled)
Work on electrical skematics (Fufiled)
Start work on physcial assembly (Fufiled)
Due to these goals being unfufiled due to limitations at school we will be working on them over the long weekend:
Test to see all electrical components are functional (Unable to fulfil on school computers)
Test Bluetooth (Unable to fulfil on school computers)
Ensure all nessesary Arduino libaries are installed (Unable to fulfil on school computers)
Goals for Week 8:
Continue to work on physical assembly
Work on bluetooth and voice control connections
Work on the development of app for final project
Optional: Paint components to have matching color scheme
These goals are to be worked on throughout the entire week and all team memeber must cooporate in order to fufil them as no one team member is responsible for the fufilment of this project.
