MONDAY - Completed Arduino code for motors. We shall test it once we finish the development on MIT App Inventor.
TUESDAY - Tried uploading the code but failed to do so.
WEDNESDAY - We were able to get the code for the project uploaded to the Arduino Uno
THURSDAY - Tested Arduino code and components. We were able to finally figure out the the power was what was wrong with our project.
FRIDAY - Rewired project to included the motor shield for the Arduino Uno
HEATHER -
MONDAY - Finished the code and the creation of the app for the control of the motors, we are going to test tomorrow
TUESDAY - Tried to upload the code, we tried different computers and all of the other types of methods for troubleshooting but turns out that we didn't have a specific driver downloaded. When we found that out we ran out of time. Try again tomorrow
WEDNESDAY - shortened day, we finally got the code uploaded to the Arduino, going to try to connect to the app and check to see if everything works properly
THURSDAY - We are trying to see if all of the components are working, right now we are not having any success. Staying after school to work on the project
FRIDAY - ABSENT DUE TO HANDBALL TOURNAMENT

After uploading the code to the Arduino Uno, our main issues was to figure out why the NEMA 17 motor would operate when we tried using the app. After preforming some tests and consulting Mr.Rojas we discovered the issue was that our components weren't recieving enough power and after plugging the power supply directly to the Arduino everything worked as intended. This aspect of the project falls under the Construction and Test phase as we were working on the most complex aspect of the software side of this project.
We removed the motor sheild attached to the Arduno so we could easily rewire anything the we needed to while testing why our build didn't work. Once we figured out the issue we reattached the motor sheild to the Arduino and scrwed in the wires. This falls under the Evaluate Solutions aspect of the projects learning targets as we took our inital design and added improvments to help create a more effcient result.
Arduino Code and MIT App Inventor
Week 14:
Spring Break
Goals for Week 15:
Work on having a functional app for the project
Research voice control and how to incorporate it with the code for the main app
Work on the configuration of the components in order for all of them to fit in the 3-D printed box that we have
Optional: Paint components to have matching color scheme
Goals for Week 16:
Work on having a functional app for the project
Incorporate voice control into the project
Work on finetuning the code
Add a reset button to the app
Optional: Paint components to have matching color scheme
