Friday, May 15, 10am-2:30pm (Lunch provided)
Interested in helping students “amplify their impact” by translating their specialized knowledge to non-specialist audiences and real-world impact?
This workshop invites faculty to reimagine a course to integrate public communication, using a strategic framework for public-facing assignments and principles of effective course redesign to revise a course (or parts of a course) around work that's purposeful, authentic, and impactful. Sample assignments include op-eds, social media campaigns, podcasts, digital storytelling, zines, public policy statements, public lectures/workshops, exhibits, and community-facing materials. Lunch will be provided.
A $250 stipend will provided upon submission of redesigned materials.

The workshop will be co-facilitated by Nancy Chick (Executive Director of Teaching, Learning, and Scholarship in The Faculty Commons) and Gretchen Busl (Professor of English and Director of TWU's "Amplify Your Impact" Quality Enhancement Plan)
