Standards:
TTESS Dimension 4.1 Professional Demeanor and Ethics. The teacher meets district expectations for attendance, professional appearance, decorum, procedural, ethical, legal and statutory responsibilities.
TTESS Dimension 4.2 Goal Setting. The teacher reflects on his/her practice.
TTESS Dimension 4.3 Professional Development. The teacher enhances the professional community.
TTESS Dimension 4.4 School Community Involvement. The teacher demonstrates leadership with students, colleagues, and community members in the school, district and community through effective communication and outreach.
INTASC Standard #9: Professional Learning and Ethical Practice. The teacher engages in ongoing professional learning and uses evidence to continually evaluate his/her practice, particularly the effects of his/her choices and actions on others (learners, families, other professionals, and the community), and adapts practice to meet the needs of each learner.
INTASC Standard #10: Leadership and Collaboration. The teacher seeks appropriate leadership roles and opportunities to take responsibility for student learning, to collaborate with learners, families, colleagues, other school professionals, and community members to ensure learner growth, and to advance the profession.
Standard Interpretation:
The teacher is professional in manner, ethics, and legal responsibilities, analyzing teaching and setting goals for growth, obtaining professional development to enhance professional community, is a proactive individual in multiple settings, pioneering and establishing effective communication and outreach to students, colleagues, and surrounding community.
