Prospective Students

Academies at UHS provides ALL incoming freshman the opportunity to pursue a focused course of study that affords students a rich and competitive background in a particular area of study. This flexible approach to scheduling creates equitable access and opportunities for ALL students to participate in a college and career-focused academic program in one of four disciplines. This program, while optional, will provide interested students the chance to demonstrate commitment to an area of study in greater depth than a traditional high school program. Throughout their high school experience, Academy students will be given multiple opportunities to meet with college representatives, engage with guest speakers in applicable fields, and - in the future - explore internship opportunities specific to their area of interest.
