Endorsement with EXCELLENCE
Students eligible for a High School Diploma with an Endorsement with Excellence in an Academy have, by the time of graduation:
completed an Intent to Pursue by the end of MP1 of their 9th grade year;
maintained a yearly minimum GPA of 3.0;
graduated with a 3.3 Cumulative GPA;
participated in at least three after-school seminars for their respective Academy per school year;
maintained the scheduled Academy progression of courses without need to repeat courses or participate in credit recovery (either during the school year, virtually, or in summer school);
met NJ Graduation Testing Requirements without need to utilize the NJDOE Portfolio Appeal in ELA or Mathematics;
taken at least two advanced level courses (Honors or AP) in the following subject areas:
STEM – at least one in Science and one in Mathematics,
GLP3 – at least one in Social Studies and one in either World Language, ELA, or a GLP2 elective,
BAM – at least one in Social Studies or Mathematics and one in either World Language, Business, or a BAM elective,
VCAP – at least one in a Visual or Performing Arts and one in English, World Language, or a VCAP Elective; and
taken at least one additional Advanced Placement (AP) course in any subject area.
