Maths

At Tuckswood we believe that all children can do maths and we value mistakes and different approaches children have to solving problems. Mathematics lessons are designed to have children working cooperatively to solve a variety of problems and build resilience, preparing them for future employment. 

Subject Enrichment

Maths is woven throughout our wider curriculum and the children are shown how it is relevant to their daily lives. We take part in events such as NSPCC Number Day and have links with local high schools who run workshops in school to foster a passion for the subject.
