While it is great that you are looking to take on the extra responsibility of employment, we also want to underscore that having a work permit is a privilege. It’s not always easy to balance the demands and responsibilities of both school and your job. Therefore, it is very important to make sure that you use your time wisely, and make sure that you are not neglecting your schoolwork. So while we may issue you a work permit, we also reserve the right to revoke your work permit at any time.
We may revoke your work permit for a variety of reasons, including, but not limited to:
Failure to log in to Brightspace for one week or more.
Failure to make adequate progress in your classes.
Failure to respond to/communicate with staff.
Non-attendance at mandatory statewide testing.
Balancing the responsibilities of school and a job is not an easy task, and support staff are all available to help you be successful both in your schoolwork and your employment! Please contact us for help if you need assistance.
