To earn a high school diploma, the student must meet all three components:
1.) Meet Credit Requirements
Students must earn 20 credits while meeting the minimum subject requirements.
2.) Demonstrate Competency
To demonstrate competency, students must score 684 or higher on both their English II and Algebra I end-of-course
exams.
3.) Demonstrate Readiness
To demonstrate readiness, students must earn two graduation seals, one of which must be a state-defined seal.
Ohio law offers 12 graduation seals to show academic, technical, and professional readiness. You can learn more
about 12 possible graduation seals here.
The presentation below explains how students will meet graduation requirements.
The following video reviews how to meet graduation requirements at TRECA. In addition, how to track where a student stands toward meeting requirements in the evolve parent portal.
