It is TRECA’s policy that high school students may earn course credit through their End-of-Course (EOC) exam results by demonstrating mastery. To do so, students must be enrolled in the corresponding TRECA EOC course at the time they take the exam.
A student’s final course grade is determined by combining the progress and grades they have earned in the class with their performance on the EOC exam. The chart below shows how EOC scores translate into a final course grade.
If a student is not satisfied with the final grade earned through the EOC exam, they may choose to decline the EOC credit and complete the remaining coursework to improve their grade. Students have until the end of the school calendar year to make improvements. After the final day of the school year, a final course grade will be issued.
Once the school year ends, grades are considered final and cannot be revisited.
