AI Resources

Explore the AI Compendium

The AI Compendium website, built by the 2024 AI FLC, provides the knowledge, tools, and insights to help you and your students understand how AI is transforming the landscape of higher education. Learn about how AI functions, explore educational resources, test out AI tools, and lots more.

GenAI Microcourse & Website

This Canvas course, maintained by the Library, provides overview and instruction on how Generative AI systems like ChatGPT, Claude, and Google Gemini function for students. It also provides training in how to use these tools ethically.

Communication & Writing (CAW)

The BCTE's CAW fellow is meant to develop and maintain a campus-wide culture of writing and communication instruction by leading pedagogical development across the curriculum. Our intention for this initiative is to provide guidance to faculty designing courses and assignments based on scholarship and aligned with course, program, and Vertical Curriculum goals.

The Digital Liberal Arts (DLA)

The DLA Initiative

The DLA Initiative is the technology-facing side of the BCTE. The Bingham Trust funded its creation in 2017. Its mission is to help faculty integrate technology into teaching and curriculum at Transy.  In addition to offering programming, the DLA maintaining campus spaces devoted to pedagogy-related technology, the DLA provides faculty funding for research, creative projects, and innovative, technology-focused projects both in and outside the classroom.

Play with the DLA in May

Our Play with the DLA in May site provides training materials on different technologies available at Transy, including the Adobe Suite and ArcGIS. It also provides materials on how to incorporate video, podcast, and website projects into classes.

Institutional Review Board (IRB) Training 

The Transylvania University Research Training website is designed for faculty, staff, and students who plan to conduct research using human and/or animal subjects. The Research Training website provides the necessary resources, training, and certification required of all researchers by federal regulations.
