STEP4 Required documents and enrollment procedures
Regardless of the graduate school you will enroll in, you must visit your designated campus on the specified date to complete the enrollment procedures.
If you fail to complete the enrollment procedures, you may be deemed to have no intention of studying at the University. Please be sure to read the following guidelines carefully to prepare for and complete the procedures.
Please prepare the following documents required for the enrollment procedures, making sure they are fully completed.
Please fill out the documents with a black ballpoint pen or a black ink pen. Do not use an erasable pen.
Submitted documents cannot be returned for any reason.
1. Claim ticket for Student ID
・Cut off the claim ticket for Student ID from the bottom of the Admission Letter you printed in STEP 1 and fill in your name.
2. Pledge
・Sign your name in the signature field of the “Pledge” you printed in STEP 1.
・If you want to correct the Chinese characters used in your name, please correct the information registered in the online procedures, and print the Pledge again.
3. Certificates
If you did not submit the following certificates at the time of application, please take them out of the envelope, and submit one original copy of each.
It does not matter even if the envelope is marked “Sealed” or “Invalid if opened.”
Please write your student ID number (10 digits) in the top right corner of each certificate.
If you submitted a Certificate of Expected Graduation upon application: Certificate of Graduation (A diploma is not acceptable.)
If you submitted a Certificate of Expected Completion upon application: Certificate of Completion
4. Copy of Certificate of Residence
*It must be issued on or after June 16, 2026, and must not include your My Number.
Please submit a copy of your Certificate of Residence that includes only your own information (without household information) and can verify your address, name, date of birth, and gender.
In addition to the above, submit a certificate that includes your nationality, status of residence, and period of stay if you are a non-Japanese student.
Please write your student ID number (10 digits) in the top right corner of the copy of your Certificate of Residence.
A “copy of Certificate of Residence” is an official document issued by transcribing the contents of the “original Certificate of Residence” kept at the municipal office. A photocopy you made with a copy machine will not be accepted.

If you cannot submit the documents on the designated enrollment procedure date, please submit them at a later date.
Submission deadlines vary by campus. Please check "在校生の方へ(在学生ポータル)/For Current Students (Current Student Portal)" for details.
Prospective students enrolled under the Long-term Enrollment System are eligible to participate only if specific sessions designated for long-term course students are available.
General Education and Training Course: Double-sided copy of the Education and Training Benefit Eligibility Reply Form
Professional and Practical Education and Training Course: Double-sided copy of either Education and Training Support Benefit Recipient Card or Notice of Eligibility for Education and Training Benefits
Regardless of your graduate school course, you must visit your assigned campus.
The date, time, and meeting location depend on the graduate school course.

Student ID Cards will be distributed during the enrollment procedure.
Please note in advance that you cannot purchase student commuter passes until you receive your Student ID Card.

■ Leave of absence
The deadline for new students to apply for a leave of absence for the AY 2026 fall semester is November 10. If you are considering taking a leave of absence, please consult with the office in charge of the graduate school you will enroll in.
■ Certificate of Enrollment
A Certificate of Enrollment can be issued from September 16 using Student ID Cards provided at the time of the enrollment procedures at the certificate issuing machines located on each campus (200 yen per copy). The four-digit PIN you registered during the online admission procedures is required to issue the Certificate.
