DO YOU KNOW?- The Rotary Club of Towcester is proud to announce that one of it's members, Rtn Dawn Denton has been inaugurated as the ROTARY DISTRICT GOVERNOR for Rotary District 1070, which covers the East Midlands - from South Lincolnshire through Leicestershire, Rutland, Cambridgeshire, North and West Northants. An area comprising of 79 Clubs with over 2000 members, all committed to helping the community whether it be local or international. It encourages good will and better friendships and helps where help is needed.

The Rotary Club of Towcester congratulates Rtn Dawn in her appointment and looks forward to supporting her in her year of office. Seen below she is with the District Governor Elect, Rtn Chris Knight at the recent inauguration ceremony.

High Sheriff of Northamptonshie’s Garden Party

On Sunday 30th August over 250 members from different charitable organisations and Public Services organisations were invited to the High Sheriff of Northamptonshire’s Annual Garden Party held at Harroden Hall, Wellingborough. This event is a thank you for all those who undertake charitable works in the county and those in public service.

The Rotary Club of Towcester was invited to attend and the Club was represented by its President, Rtn Steph Jones, President Elect, Rtn Conrad Dower and Rtn Dawn Denton, who also represented the Rotary District 1070 in her capacity of District Governor.

The musical entertainment was provided by musicians from NMPAT, the county’s musical education organisation that gives children as young as 7 the opportunity to learn how to play a musical instrument as part of their education.

The High Sheriff gave an address thanking all charities for the work they do in the county and for the work the Public Services do in supporting the general public and for their hard work in protecting the community.
