Tohoku University ID: Used to sign in to various university systems.

Passwords and multi-factor authentication settings are also managed separately for these two systems.
Please refer to the "When You Cannot Log In" page for troubleshooting instructions.
You may already be signed in with your personal Google account.
Click the profile icon in the upper-right corner of the screen and switch to your Tohoku University Google account.
On a computer, we recommend using separate browser profiles for your university and personal Google accounts.
For details, please refer to the "Start Guide" page.
When signing in from an unfamiliar device or environment, Google may ask you to enter an "Employee ID" to verify your identity.
This "Employee ID" is different from your Tohoku University ID, student ID number, or staff ID number.
For instructions on how to find your Employee ID, please refer to the following guides.
For Faculty and Staff (TUMail)
TUMail User Manual (English)
See the section on signing in to TUMail.
For Students (DCMail)
DCMail Online Guide (English)
See "3. Initial Settings/Login Method."
Yes. Tohoku University requires Two-Step Verification (2SV) to enhance account security.
For setup instructions, please refer to the "Start Guide" page.
You may still be able to sign in using another registered verification method or backup codes that you have saved in advance.
If you cannot sign in using any of these methods, please refer to the "When You Cannot Log In" page.
Backup codes are one-time codes that you can use to sign in when your usual verification method is unavailable.
We recommend generating backup codes in advance and keeping them in a secure location in case you need them.
Registering an authenticator app does not always mean that Two-Step Verification has been enabled.
If the "Turn on" option appears on the settings page, select it to enable Two-Step Verification.
If you cannot enable Two-Step Verification using only an authenticator app, adding another verification method, such as a phone number, may help.
For details, please refer to the "Start Guide" page.
