Site visits are a critical part of enrollment.
At a Site Visit, you will:
Learn about ITF and the education landscape in the community in which you will be teaching
Get familiar with the schools you and your colleagues will be working in
Network with school leaders who are interested in hiring Fellows
Meet Fellows and Alumni who will be resources and supports
Have an opportunity to interview with a partner school
What happens at a site visit?
Site visits give you an opportunity to gain understanding about what a day during PST will look like. During an in-person site visit, we will start the day at a partner school, and you will have the opportunity to observe Fellows teach. We will meet with school leaders and give you the opportunity to begin forming the relationships that will be critical as you begin/continue your job search.
You'll also have the opportunity to experience a skill building session like you will experience during summer training. We will have an opportunity to begin building relationships with each other over lunch. Following lunch we will move to a hiring fair with multiple school partners from around the city. This time will also include opportunities to work with site staff on testing prep and other enrollment checklist items.
Virtual site visits will be held remotely via Zoom, following a similar format. We will schedule breaks and provide opportunities to connect with ITF staff and fellow enrollees. Interviews with partner school leaders will also happen over Zoom. Whether you join in-person or virtually, please plan ahead to be present for the duration of the time.

How do I prepare?
If you are currently looking for a teaching position, the best thing you can do to prepare for a site visit is get prepared for a strong interview. You must submit your updated resume, your school hiring biography, and the interview preparation questions in order to attend a site visit. All of these activities must be completed within 4 weeks of your enrollment or by the registration deadline.
If have been hired prior to the Site Visit date, please ensure that you have completed a 25/26 Hiring Documentation Form.
What should I wear?
Site visits are an opportunity to build your professional network, so we recommend professional dress, even if you are participating virtually. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended for in-person site visits.
