Ensuring Supply of Uniform and Quality Planting Material in Coconut Through Micro-propagation
A working protocol for 'Coconut Micropropagation' through mature zygotic embryo mediated direct organogenesis has been developed. The findings shall be published shortly.
As on offshoot of this project, about 30 endophytes from coconut embryos have been isolated and characterized. The details have been submitted in NCBI database (For details: Click here). The endophytes have been identified to be antagonistic against some of the important plant pathogens. The findings shall be published shortly.
