Volunteer Opportunities

I welcome and encourage parent volunteers in our First Grade classroom.  There are various volunteer opportunities to fit your desires and schedule.  If you want to volunteer in any of these ways, please contact the teacher through an email or fill out the survey at the bottom of this page.  Please feel free to sign up for as many as you can.  I am very flexible with schedules, so I will work with your schedule as best as I can.  I truly appreciate your involvement while respecting your time and family commitments.

Classroom Volunteers – Help with learning centers, help prep learning materials, or help with other lessons and projects.

Library Helper- Read to the students and help them check out library books on Wednesdays.

Teaching Opportunities – Help teach art lessons in the afternoons or come in as an Expert Visitor to talk to the students about your field of work.

Royal Readers – Read your favorite book to the class during our Read Aloud time.

Field Trips – Help chaperone one of our field trips throughout the year.

Parties – Assist with preparation and management of one of our classroom parties (Thanksgiving Feast, 100th Day of School Celebration, etc.).

Donations - If coming into the classroom does not fit your schedule, we will ask for specific objects to donate throughout the year for projects, parties, and other learning opportunities.
