Clubs have begun this week. As usual these have been over subscribed - if your child no longer requires a space in the club they have been allocated, please let the office know so we can give the place to someone on the waiting list. Last night's ballet class was lovely to watch - the children learnt a routine which they put to music.
Lots of super learning has been taking place this week. The children have been able to speak to adults really well about what they are learning and how they can improve. This has been helped by the introduction of our new marking policy. When the children have succeeded in their learning they have a yellow highlight by the learning objective; if they require some more help then they see a green arrow. Teachers are then able to target teaching to support progress and learning.
As a school we will be moving our information management system from Integris to Arbor. This will be taking place during October. The new system will mean that there will be some changes to some of our systems. Over the coming weeks, you will receive more information about Arbor and how families will be able to use this for updating contact information, paying for trips, clubs etc, receiving communication from school and a whole lot more. Please don't worry about this change, school will be avaliable to support families who need help.
Yesterday we had out first Learn Together event of the academic year. It was lovely to welcome so many Year 1 families to share learning with their children. The children were very happy to see their adults and enjoyed showing off their writing, maths and science skills!
The next Learn Together event will be for Year 2 on 15th October at 2:45pm.
School Council had their first meeting on Monday. They have made some decisions about things that they would like in school already which we are implementing stratight away.
School Council have decided that we will have the following awards in Celebration Assembly:

They also asked for a House reward each term for the House which collects the most House Points and that the House Cup has the winning House's ribbons tied on each week.
Attendance awards will take the following format this year:

Mrs Molloy held her first Young Carers club of this academic year this week. They had a lovely time carrying out different activities together. There were a few new starters who slotted into the group perfectly.
If you feel your child may be a young carer and would like more information about the club, please contact Mrs Molloy.
If your child is due to start Reception in September 2026, now is the time to start looking at different schools to decide where you feel your child will settle best.
If you would like to come and have a look around our school, please make contact with the school office who will book an appointment with one of our Senior Leaders. Individual or small group tours of the school, allows families a chance to ask the important questions they may have and also see the setting in action.
