We started the week with our first ever first aid afternoon. Nursery through to Year 6 learnt about different aspects of first aid. This will be an annual event where skills and knoweldge will be built one each year. First Aid learning supports your children's personal development and feeds into our Inclusive Citizen curriculum driver.
Thank-you to Aquamarine Class who performed the first class assembly of the year on Thursday. They shared their learning about the Second World War. I was able to watch the performance to Key Stage 1- the children spoke clearly and confidently. It was clear to me that they are really enjoying this topic and will have plenty more to share as the cycle progresses.
Mrs Ryan is currently unwell. In her absence, Mrs Maloney is leading on SEND and will be your point of contact. Please be aware that Mrs Maloney does have a teaching commitment, this will mean that you will receive a response to communication, however, this will take a little longer than usual.
The weather is very changable at the moment, please ensure that if it is wet in the morning, that your children have an appropriate coat and footwear on. We will try to ensure that where possible, children are able to be outside playing.
To we announced our Pupil Leadership Team for this academic year.

We know that these childern will be excellent role models for their peers and are excited to see what the children do in their roles.
If you applied for your child to have a space in one of our extra-curricular after school clubs, you will have had a letter today detailing the clubs your child has been allocated.
The expressions of interest were in excess of the numbers we were able to provide spaces for. As a school, we have tried to ensure that children have at least one club of their choosing.
If your child no-longer wishes to attend the allocated club please let the office know so we can give their place to a child on the waiting list. Some club waiting lists are closed as we have had so many applications via the Google form.
Our first parents evenings for this academic year a scheduled to take place on:
7th and 8th October
14th October (SEND Parents Evening)
You will receive a letter which will detail how to book appointments in the next couple of weeks.
Thank-you to everyone who took part in Jeans for Genes day today. Please remember that you can make a suggested donation of £2 directly through the link below:
