This week we have had visitors in school to enrich the learning experiences for Year 3 and Year 2. The children have thoroughly enjoyed carrying out different activities relating to their learning.
Thank-you to Sapphire Class, who performed a fantastic assembly for the children and their families. Their intelligent talking meant that everyone learnt a lot.
Apologises for the cancellation of the Year 2 Learn Together event. This will now take place on Wed 5th November at 2:45.
Thank-you to everyone who took part in the Hello Yellow event for Young Minds -we raised £225 which I am sure the charity will be thankful for.
Reading is the single most important skill we teach our children. Reading forms part of all areas of learning in school and when our children leave school, it will continue to be a vital skill to have in life. Please support your child to develop their reading fluency by listening to them read daily (and signing their reading log). 10 minutes every day at home, is enough to support your child's improvement in reading.
Listening to stories being read aloud is not only a great way to build a love of stories and books, it is a calming way to end a busy day!
Friends of Tithe Farm are in the process of organising an Autumn Disco and Christmas Fair. Tickets for the disco will be available to buy both online and in person.
Save the date:
Autumn Disco: Friday 7th November
Christmas Fair: Friday 12th December
More information will follow shortly!
Please be aware that due to the popularity of this club, we are having to restrict numbers to 30. This allows all children who attend the club to have a device to use and for use to ensure that children are supervised appropriately. In the short term, this will work on a first come first served basis. When we move to Arbor we will set up a booking system for the club.
Please ensure that your child arrives at 8:20 to maximise the time in the club.
Whole School Attendance: 94.85% This is a positive start to the year. It would be lovely to get out attendance to at least 96% this year. This would mean that our children are accessing lots of learning and having plenty of time with their friends!
We have recently completed a register check, if attendance has fallen below 90% you will have received a letter explaining this and the actions you need to take to get back on track.
Should you need any support with overcoming barriers for you or your child coming to school, please speak with Mrs Molloy.
