We are now 2 weeks into the new term; the children have settled in well and are building on their learning prior to the Christmas holidays. Last week the local School Liaison Officer came to speak to Year 5 and 6 about keeping safe and making safe choices. This week we welcomed Year 5 families to school for a Learn Together event. Thank-you to all of the families who attended - the children loved having you in!
We are very proud to be able to share with you that OFSTED graded us good in all of the areas inspected. During the inspection, your children were a credit to their families and the school, speaking eloquently about their learning and what it is like to attend Tithe Farm Primary School. Inspectors noted that our children are incredibly resilient and that not once did they see a learner give up, even when learning was a challenge. The inspection report reflects the tireless work that the adults within school undertake every day to ensure that our children have the best possible learning experiences - without them, none of this would be possible. The full report has been emailed to families but can also be found on our website: https://www.tithefarmprimary.co.uk/page/?title=Ofsted+%26amp%3B+Dept+of+Education&pid=58
Oracy Endpoint Week takes place the week beginning 3rd February. Please see dates for each Year group:
Monday 3rd February - Year 2
Tuesday 4th February - Reception
Wednesday 5th February - Year 4 and Year 6
Thursday 6th February - Year 5
Friday 7th February - Year 3 and Year 1.
All oracy events will begin at 2:45pm, please come to the main reception and we will guide you to the appropriate classroom.
We have had an increasing number of children arriving at school before 8:25 in the morning. Children should not be arriving at school before 8:25 at the earliest unless they are going to TT Rockstars Club.
At the start of school, staff members are not responsible for you children and therefore the safety of your child can not be guaranteed. Please ensure that your children do not leave too early for school and that if they are meant to be going to TT Rockstars that they do go to this club.
Children should be bringing healthy snacks to eat at break time. This may include a piece of fruit or vegetable or a savory snack. Cereal bars are allowed but please be aware that they do contain high levels of sugar which do not keep children satisfied for long!
Snacks which are not allowed at break are:
crisps
chocolate
nuts
Please could I remind families to drive carefully into the carpark if you are using it during the day - we have noted a number of families who drive in at speed. This is not safe for children and staff who may be in the carpark.
At the start of the day, please also be mindful that school staff are accessing the carpark to park -do not drive up to the building and leave your car there- please park in a space. It is a small carpark which leads straight onto the road which can make it difficult if staff are waiting for a space.
