This week we were able to show off our super maths learning to an outside visitor. She commented on all learners excellent learning behaviours and how intelligently they spoke in their maths lessons. We have had a number of events for families this week which have included a phonics workshop for Year 1 families, a SATS workshop for Year 6 parents and a learn together event for Year 3 families. We thank all of the families who attended these events.
As you will have seen if you come in on the Key Stage 1 playground our building work has been completed. We are incredibly happy with the results and so are the children (and teachers). The reception area will begin to be set up with learning activities in the mornings, please ensure that your children do not play with these first thing because if resources go missing this has an impact on the morning for the Reception children.
The Key Stage 2 Boys Toilets are almost complete and will hopefully be ready for use next week.
Yesterday we had a Police Officer from Bedfordshire Police speak to our Key Stage 2 children about keeping safe. Year 3, 4 and 6 took part in a talk which focused on how to stay safe on online; especially the use of social media apps and online bullying
On Monday, Mrs Molloy is hosting a family afternoon between 2:30 and 3:30pm.

On Wednesday 27th November the Book Fair will be arriving in school. There will be a fabulous selection of books on offer with some discounted books and deals - all of which could make excellent Christmas presents!

Good punctuality at school is essential for students to achieve their full educational potential. It is also vital for students to form good habits for later life. Punctuality records form part of references passed onto employers or higher educational institutes.
Good attendance at school is not just valuable, it's essential. Going to school is directly linked to improved exam performance which should in turn lead to further learning opportunities and better job prospects.
