A: We actually have a protein calculator to help you figure out the ideal amount of protein for your body. It's based on weight and some other factors. If you look in the portal under the "Handouts" tab, you will find a section on protein in the "Superfoods Guide"A: Collagen is made from the connective tissue of animals, such as hooves and bones, where hydrolyzed beef protein is made from beef itself.
Hydrobeef is a highly concentrated, pure beef protein, which contains complete proteins. It is derived from an infusion process of beef that provides critical nutrients, peptides, amino acids, nucleotide fractions, vitamins and minerals – including vitamins A and D, and natural forms of B vitamins.
Collagen, although considered a protein source, is not a complete protein, meaning it does not have the 9 essential amino acids that our body needs for muscle and tissue repair. This means that additional protein, ideally consisting of animal protein, needs to be consumed daily to ensure we are supplying the body with all of the adequate essential amino acids. Additionally, it only has about 11 grams or so of protein per serving, compared to about 27 grams in the hydrolyzed beef protein.
Hydrolyzed beef protein also goes through a process called hydrolysis, which breaks the beef down into tiny parts, and allows for less potential reactions compared to collagen proteins.
