A: Infrared saunas can be helpful while healing and I’m a strong proponent of their use. I do caution that all individuals have varying levels of tolerance, and it is prudent to “start low and go slow”. This means you may wish to start out at a few minutes per session and slowly increase the duration over the course of many sessions. If you notice any concerning signs/symptoms such as palpitations or lightheadedness, it is recommended to cease your session and hydrate with electrolytes.
If you have any other medical conditions or symptoms that you feel may be incompatible with sauna use, it is recommended to consult with your healthcare practitioner before proceeding.
