A: The program is focused on six core supplements: an adrenal adaptogenic blend with some B vitamins that is called Adrenal Support; an Electrolyte Blend with D-Ribose that supports recovery, healthy cortisol levels, and the mitochondria; Magnesium Citrate, which is excellent for helping us fall asleep, relieve stress, it helps with joint pains and anxiety. A physician wrote a book called “The Magnesium Miracle” because it helps with so many conditions, and I found the same to be true for most people with thyroid issues. There’s also Myo-inositol. This has been clinically shown to improve thyroid function in the early stages of subclinical hypothyroidism. It can actually normalize TSH and potentially reduce thyroid antibodies. For a long time, it's been used for PCOS, and it's very helpful for blood sugar balancing as well. Some people also find that if they have reactive hypoglycemia or blood sugar swings in the middle of the night that wake them up, myo-inositol helps to overcome that. There is also Carnitine, which is a mitochondrial support that can also help with muscle recovery and fatigue. It's been studied in thyroid issues. It can relieve thyroid-related fatigue. And then, last but not least, we're gonna be utilizing Saccharomyces boulardii. This is a probiotic yeast that helps us raise our levels of secretory IgA. Secretory IgA is produced in our gut, and it helps us prevent and overcome gut infections. It also gets depleted during stressful times. So, this can be helpful for anybody with adrenal issues. It's often low in people with thyroid issues and people who are experiencing a lot of stress that can make us susceptible to infections. This can help us overcome certain types of infections that are common in Hashimoto’s and maybe also exacerbating factors and or triggers, like Blastocystis hominis. So I do encourage you to take a look at all the information on the supplements.
I talk about all of the benefits and some of the reasons why not to use them. If you're taking certain medications, you'll certainly want to take a look at the list of medications that are not recommended to be taken with those supplements.
I also recommend protein powder. Making sure that you're getting enough protein is a big part of healing the body and building it back up.
