A: Generally, I recommend taking the adrenal support supplements from three months to two years. And then of course, if any supplements are not working for you, you may want to revisit having them and discontinue them. As far as being on the supplements forever, I would say it depends entirely on the person and the lifestyle changes that they make. The same goes for thyroid medications. If a certain amount of your thyroid gland has been damaged, if you don't have a thyroid anymore because it was removed surgically, or maybe you were born without a thyroid, then you know, you would want to continue taking thyroid medications. Instead, for somebody that is in the early stages of subclinical hypothyroidism, taking selenium with myo-inositol may be enough, as this combination has been shown to normalize thyroid function in the early stages of thyroid dysfunction.
