A: You would want to avoid utilizing Rootcology Adrenal Support, which contains licorice and could potentially increase your blood pressure. You may want to utilize Pure Encapsulations Daily Stress Formula, which does not contain licorice. Alternatively, you could utilize standalone adaptogens you do well with. Of course, I encourage everybody to check with their doctor and pharmacist before starting any kind of medications or supplements. We have a Supplement and Drug Interactions Guide in the portal under the Supplements tab for more reference, if you're looking for a bit more information. It goes over all the supplements that we are recommending. For example, we talk about the Adrenal Support and nightshade issues, not to be taken when you have high blood pressure. So, if you're taking antihypertensive medications, this is something to keep in mind.
Then we have Carnitine Blend. This is generally well tolerated, but if you're using any kind of medications, do check with your doctor.
As for the Electrolyte Blend, if you have sodium-sensitive hypertension, or if you have a pacemaker, high sodium and potassium levels, consider that electrolytes contain sodium and potassium. Anybody taking antihypertensive drugs should look out for this. People tolerate it well, but at the same time, if you have uncontrolled hypertension and if you have that sodium-responsive hypertension, this is something to keep in mind. If you're taking corticosteroids, this is something to keep in mind too. I would potentially avoid the electrolytes or check with your doctor before you start utilizing them.
Then we have Magnesium Citrate. This is generally well tolerated, but there are some drug interactions.
Myo-Inositol doesn't have many drug interactions, but if you're taking antidiabetic drugs, this can further lower your blood sugar. So, that's something to keep in mind.
S. Boulardii is generally well tolerated, except for people who are immunocompromised.
If you are taking medications, you would want to review this guide and talk to your pharmacist or physician about your medications and taking the supplements with them.
