A: Just to clarify, it’s not necessarily the foods that are evil, it’s because of a leaky gut that you have a hard time tolerating some of these foods. In Hashimoto’s, I would say maybe 20-50% of people actually have a nightshade reaction. Most of them do not, compared to gluten. I would say 99% of people are going to react to gluten, and somewhere between 80 and 90% are going to react to dairy. Those are the two main foods that are going to be most problematic.

If you go to the Rootcology website, you can see all the ingredients there on the Adrenal Support page. There are B vitamins: riboflavin, pyridoxal-5-phosphate, and pantothenic acid. The adaptogens are: Eleuthero, American Ginseng, Ashwagandha, Rhiodiola, and Licorice root. It also has some vitamin C. Adaptogens, B vitamins, and vitamin C help to support the adrenals, so those are going to be the main ingredients in there. The Adrenal Support is a really lovely combination product that has all these ingredients. It also has some L-tyrosine, which supports both the adrenals and thyroid, and is in balance with all these other things.
