Q: I am comparing the Gut Zoomer 3.0 with the GI Map test. The Gut Zoomer’s sample test in the areas that needed improvement showed ideas and suggestions for natural products that could help the person to recover. Does the GI Map test also have this?
A: Gut Zoomer provides a more detailed test result compared to the GI-MAP test. You can find some protocols on their website that are based on the GI-MAP test. They are some very basic 5-R protocols. Here is the GI-MAP sample report, as well as the interpretive guide that they provide to give you an idea of what kind of feedback you would get from self-ordering the GI-MAP test.
Additionally, I’m including this guide from my Gut Recovery Program that contains protocols based on the GI-Map test results.
I don't know that I would necessarily do Gut Zoomer on my own, unless I was in Hashimoto's Self-Management Program, or the Gut Recovery Program that is going to launch in the fall. We do have some interpretive guidance for both of those lab tests in those programs.
