Q: How often do you recommend food sensitivity testing? I've already tested once and have completed a detox. According to my results I'm not sensitive to cow and goat dairy. What are your thoughts on adding them back into my diet at a later date?
A: You can retest every three to six months when you're implementing interventions such as this program or any other protocols to help you reverse a food sensitivity. You may find Dr. Wentz's article on this topic helpful as well. She does recommend staying off gluten, dairy, and soy indefinitely for those with Hashimoto's. However, for dairy, Dr. Wentz is working on reversing dairy sensitivity. So, be sure to stay on the Thyroid Pharmacist email list for updates in the future when those findings come to fruition.
