A: Waking up at that time is usually a sign of blood sugar imbalance. Eating more protein and fat throughout the day can help with blood sugar balance. For some people eating some carbs in the evening can also help. For others, eating some protein before bed helps (like a smoothie, piece of chicken, etc). You will want to experiment and see which works best for you.
Myo-inositol may also help with blood sugar balancing. So, if you’re taking the supplements during the program you may try taking this at bedtime, when you take magnesium citrate.
You can also find more in the Specific Symptom Solutions Guide, which has a large Insomnia/Sleep Issues section to help you troubleshoot any lingering sleep issues you might still have. You can find it in the portal, under the Handouts tab.
