A: I'm sorry to hear that. I would generally think about your symptoms and what might be the reasons behind them. Typically, when we wrap up the program, I'll look at the survey stats from everybody and their feedback. In my experience, a lot of the people who don't really respond to the programs might have an issue with mold exposure– if they're struggling with fatigue– Lyme disease, and definitely oxalates. These are things that might need a little deeper root cause investigation.
If I knew your specific symptoms I might be able to recommend a good next step for you. Without knowing them, I'm hesitant to recommend the gut program or the liver reset. Generally, most people have some degree of liver backlog, so they have a toxic burden in their body that's just beyond what their body can handle. Doing the Root Cause Reset can be very helpful with that. Skin issues, excess weight, brain fog, sensitivities may be the symptoms of that.
The people that have issues with oxalates typically have urinary frequency, pain in their bodies, and frequent night wakings. The Gut Recovery Program is really focused on that.
If you have asthma or breathing issues, this could be a combination of toxic exposures as well as your metabolic pathways being really depleted. So, the Gut Recovery Program and the Reset together might be helpful.
One of the things that I found to be very helpful with clients that don’t respond to the protocols is doing the Organic Acid Test, which can uncover some additional root causes. Specifically, it looks at mold, candida colonization in your body, oxalate issues, and salicylate issues. Sometimes it can really uncover if there's something else going on. For people that have had tick bites, doing something like a Lyme test would be helpful.
If you have had a lot of foreign wilderness travels, doing a gut test like the GI-MAP or the Gut Zoomer may be helpful. Of course, working with a knowledgeable practitioner can be really helpful.
Generally, I will also say that people get better with time when they implement the strategies in the program. It does take a little bit of time to get going and get moving in the right direction. However, if after 4-6 weeks you don’t see any results you’ll want to dig deeper and get some of the tests I mentioned earlier.
