A: That can be really, really tough. You also want to make sure you're supporting your liver and gut and following through with getting your house cleaned out and doing some mold protocols as well. I have them in my Hashimoto's Protocol book, as well as in the Hashimoto’s Self-Management Program. I do have a blog post on low carbohydrate diets on the website and they can be problematic for some people, especially if they have issues with protein and fat digestion. You may want to look into doing some digestive enzymes, such as betaine with pepsin for protein, and also pancreatic enzymes for your fats. What people tend to find with mold, is that they have an issue with their gallbladder and their bile becomes less or more thick, and it flows less. Then they end up harboring additional infections and begin to lose their ability to digest fats. Something like ox bile might also be helpful. Rootcology has Pancreatic Enzymes Plus, which contains pancreatic enzymes with ox bile. The Liver and Gallbladder Support product we have is also going to be helpful for supporting some of that bile flow. Doing the liver program would be helpful for you as well.
