A: If you are sensitive to protein, (i.e. you may experience digestive issues after consuming protein, or you may have a diagnosed condition, such as kidney disease, that decreases your daily protein needs), then the amount of protein that is recommended throughout the program, may pose an issue. However, if you are adding a serving size of protein powder as a supplement and do not have protein issues, then you should be fine.
If you find that the amount of protein powder used in your smoothies is too much for you, you can reduce its amount. To determine your ideal daily protein intake, check out the protein calculation that I recommend in the Superfoods Guide (found under the Handouts tab of the portal).
If you have a condition (such as kidney disease) that requires your protein consumption to be monitored, please be sure to discuss with your practitioner prior to starting the program, to ensure the program diet and supplements are right for you.
