A: If you are sensitive to gluten and dairy, this could be a sign that you are indeed sensitive to them. However, as you mentioned, it could very well also be related to shame in regards to eating foods that contain gluten and dairy. I don't have a precise solution to help with the latter scenario, but I will share what I do, in the hopes that it may help you.
I remind myself that the foods I am avoiding will always be there; but right now, I am in the process of healing my body — so right now, I need to avoid foods that may hinder that healing. I also like to take the opportunity to find or create new recipes that can offer me a similar experience, with other foods that my body can handle for the time being.
I would like to add that generally, it is recommended to stay off dairy indefinitely, however, I’m working on reversing dairy sensitivity, so be sure to stay on Thyroid Pharmacist's email list for updates.
