A: Since the diet that we will be following is based on the Paleo diet, you will still want to consider removing dairy from your diet for two to three weeks, to reduce your body’s overall inflammation. You can then try reintroducing dairy slowly, to see if you do have reactions to it.
When doing so, you’ll want to look for signs that point to a food sensitivity, such as bloating, acid reflux, abnormal bowel movements, and less energy. If you do find that you're feeling well after reintroducing dairy into your diet, then you can continue consuming dairy.
If you do experience symptoms, however, you may be reactive to dairy, and you would want to cut it out again.
Generally, it is recommended to stay off dairy indefinitely, however, I’m working on reversing dairy sensitivity, so be sure to stay on Thyroid Pharmacist's email list for updates.
