A: I can't really recommend that you drink alcohol. However, if you’re asking whether you may be able to drink alcohol in moderation without having adverse effects at some point after supporting your adrenals and definitely supporting your liver, the answer is absolutely. I feel that many people are able to have a drink with a friend, or go to a wedding and have a few drinks and do just fine.
The alcohols that people tend to do better with would be tequila or vodka. They're a little bit cleaner as opposed to beer or wine. I do personally like wine, but it doesn't love me back. Wine can be problematic for people because of the histamine and sulfite issues. Then, it is also a source of mold, mycotoxins, and candida. Obviously, if you have it once in a while, it shouldn't be as big of a deal, but if you have it every day there may be consequences.
I went through a period of testing, where I nursed my son for almost 4 years, so I didn't drink wine or anything alcoholic for a very long time. My husband got me this wine advent calendar last year, and I thought it was the best thing ever. I would have a little bit of wine every day, and by the end of it I felt like crap, bloated and swollen. So, once a week, or once every few weeks would be fine for most people, but not every single day.
