A: Specifically for blood sugar swings and trying to optimize your weight and energy levels. I’ve found that with the Root Cause Paleo Diet, which is what we utilize for this program, about 80% of people feel better. It is animal protein-based. We can potentially use pea protein, nuts, seeds, and eggs as substitutes for meat, but you may not have the same benefits and results.
One of the key components of this program is carnitine, which is actually found in meat products. This has been really helpful for many people with energy levels, brain fog, thyroid issues, trouble with sleeping, helping them utilize fatty acids and supporting the mitochondria. I do have an article about the vegan diet, if you would like to look into it further. There are also some additional suggestions I have for people that are eating more plant-based diets that include some of the other supplements, as they might be deficient.
Hopefully, this is helpful for you. I wish you all the best and lots of healing throughout this program. I think it's definitely possible to avoid animal products, but it may not give you the best results.
