A: The Root Cause Paleo diet that we’ll be following includes organic, grass-fed, pasture-raised animals, as well as wild caught fish, whenever possible. These choices of meat have a lower toxic load, and will therefore be less inflammatory to the body.
The diet that we will be following also excludes other possible vegetarian protein options (such as tofu, legumes, and grains like quinoa), but does include nuts and seeds, as well as pea protein and eggs (if tolerated). As such, if you plan to eliminate or reduce your intake of animal protein, then nuts, seeds, pea protein and eggs are some potential options to consider.
