A: This is a controversial question, and generally the thought process is that drinking a lot of caffeine can weaken your adrenals, which is true, of course. However, I've also found that people with adrenal issues tend to self-medicate with coffee and caffeine. People can have really low levels of blood pressure, and I know that because of adrenal issues, the caffeine and coffee can help with boosting that and making people feel human. I don't recommend stopping coffee cold turkey, but as you go through the program, you will be able to get your energy back by utilizing these other strategies that I'm talking about: blood sugar balance, light therapy, making sure you're getting enough rest, using the supplements to rebuild your energy levels, your nutrients, and mitochondria. With that, you should be able to reduce caffeine gradually.
I do have a recommended caffeine wean that is optional, where you would start reducing your intake by about 25% every week. The team can send some information about that. I also did an Instagram video about some strategies to boost your morning cortisol levels without using caffeine. Once you have those in place, you're going to be able to limit your use of caffeine.
