A: The idea of having the smoothies in the morning is to provide the body with plenty of balanced nourishment while avoiding having the body work hard on digesting the food and absorbing the nutrients. You can try improving the texture by adding more water or ice cubes. You can even try steaming the greens and the rest of the veggies, letting them cool off before adding them to the blender.
Having said that, if you really feel that you can’t consume the smoothies, perhaps you can have the ingredients as a warm soup, which may help not shock the system in the morning as well.
