A: We don’t have a specific commercial snack to recommend in the UK. However, if you are looking for store-bought snacks, make sure to look at the ingredients first to verify that they do not contain any additives and/or added sugars, refined oils... For example, if you are buying a packet of nuts, you don’t want it to also contain refined oils (a little salt is fine). What would be even better with nuts is to buy them raw and roast them yourself and choose your own oil like coconut or avocado oil. Or if you buy beef sticks, make sure their ingredients are as clean as the ones Dr. Wentz recommends in the US: 100% grass fed beef plus organic spices. Maybe you could visit a health food store or check on Amazon to see if they have any 100% grass-fed beef sticks.
You can also have Deli Meats, as long as they don’t contain additives and nitrate. As an alternative, you could also make your own snacks; for ideas, you can check out the snacks in the Recipes guide under the Recipes tab in the Portal, starting on page 44.
