Languages Day

Every year, we celebrate language learning with a day dedicated to having creative fun with languages. Each year there is a different focus. Over the last few years, we have celebrated Bastille Day and all things French, Francophone Countries, Global Citizenship and World Languages. The day always starts with sharing croissants and then fun, creative and memorable activities pursue. Activities have included Finnish welly wanging, learning about China and playing games using chop-sticks, miming in the style of Marcel Marceau, making the Eiffel Tower from straws, drawing bande desinée, looking at the work of famous French artists and learning simple greetings and phrases in various languages.
