HELLO MY NAME IS Jackie Robinson.
Main idea.
Jackie Robinson was one of the most famous black baseball players. He was the first black baseball player in the major leagues. He won the most valuable player award in baseball. He was on the team the Brooklyn Dodgers and his number was 42. When he was a kid he would sell hotdogs at baseball games. People would pay him to be on their team because he was a really good player.
Background information.
He was born before the Civil Rights Movement. He was alive when there were the Jim Crow laws.
His childhood was: It was really hard.
Problems that he faced.
1.Being called out when he was not out.
2.Being segregated because of his skin color. He couldn't go in a white restaurant or drink out of white fountains.
