Beyonce is a singer with dynamic vocals. She was a part of one of the top selling girl groups of all time, Destiny's Child. She was the voice of Nala in The Lion King. She has a clothing line named Ivy Park.
Describe their childhood - Beyonce did not speak very much when she was a child, because she was shy. She was an introvert and she preferred to be alone. She has one younger sister named Solange. Beyonce had a great imagination. She joined singing competitions and she spent time in the studio making songs. She made over 50 songs!
What were some of the obstacles or challenges they faced - She had a vocal injury at 13 and had to take a vocal break. Growing up Beyonce was one of the only Black female singers and she said she had to work harder than the other singers in the competition. “I felt as a young Black woman that I couldn’t mess up. I felt the pressure from the outside and their eyes watching for me to trip or fail.”
