"Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." Philippians 1:6
Dear HCLA Parents,
As we closed out another remarkable school year and continue to step into the joys of summer, I want to thank you for your continued partnership, prayers, and trust. It has been a year full of growth, learning, and God’s faithful presence in the lives of our students and staff.
At Holy Cross Lutheran Academy, each day has been filled with creativity, discovery, and moments that reflect our mission to cultivate hearts and minds for Christ. Our students have excelled academically, artistically, and athletically—and more importantly, have grown spiritually. Through chapel services, classroom learning, service projects, and leadership opportunities, we have witnessed their deepening faith and commitment to Christ.
As we reflect on the blessings of this past year, we are also joyfully looking ahead. The 2025–2026 school year promises to be exciting, with full classes at every grade level, several new curricular and extracurricular programs, as well as safety and facility enhancements.
Summer offers a special opportunity for rest, renewal, and time with family. I encourage you to embrace this season—to enjoy God’s creation, grow closer as a family, and remain rooted in His Word. Know that we are praying for a joyful and refreshing summer for you all.
Thank you for being part of this extraordinary school community. We look forward to seeing you all in August and continuing our mission to strengthen students and families to lead a transformed life through Christ.
Peace and blessings,
Cindy Moon
Executive Director

OFFICE HOURS
Our offices are opened throughout the summer and active with camps on both campuses. We will be closed June 30 - July 4th and our admin team has sporadic vacations scheduled throughout the summer. In addition to the newsletters, please check your emails for periodic updates. If you need to stop by, we recommend you call to ensure someone will be available. If you are sending friends our way to inquire about enrollment, please ask them to schedule a time by putting in a request online or by calling our office to schedule a tour. We are full in most grades (still taking names on our wait list), but do have some availability in high school.

You can also schedule other senior photo sessions with them for an additional charge if you are interested. All other grades will have their pictures taken on campus in August.
Lower School sign-up information will be sent out in July. You will be required to sign up for a specific time which helps with space management. We appreciate your cooperation.

Lower School Dress Code / Uniform Policy - note change: only branded SkoolStyle bottoms
Lower School families, thank you for your feedback regarding our change in our uniform policy. We are so excited about our new uniform options for this next school year! We appreciate your partnership in making this transition to include Skool Style uniform bottoms. We have listened to your input and with the help of our vendor Skool Style we have a few updates.
1. Skool Style has reduced the pricing for our new uniform bottoms by 10%. This will remain in effect until Spring Break 2026.
2. Florida’s tax free days are July 29 – August 11. Take advantage of these additional savings of 7% that can be combined with the already advertised reduced price of the uniform bottoms.
3. The plaid skort for 4th & 5th grade girls has been changed to a full skirt style and will be the same style as the khaki performance skort with the side zipper but in the plaid material.
Thank you again for partnering with us. I have attached the Dress Code Information again to this email for your convenience. Following the dress code is mandatory.

We are happy to introduce Mrs. Rivera to the Upper Campus front office. Mrs. Rivera is married and the proud mother of two children here on earth, and one precious child who passed away at the age of 11. She has a beautiful testimony: "though his passing was incredibly painful, I believe his purpose was fulfilled, and I trust that God makes no mistakes-he was with us for a meaningful season." She's had the joy of working with students from preschool through high school, and has also homeschooled her own children. Mrs. Rivera is passionate about creating a warm, welcoming environment for students and their families, and finds deep purpose in supporting them each day. People often describe her as calm under pressure, a trait she's leaned on in both life and work. In her free time, she loves spending time with family, going on foodie adventures, and squeezing in some crafting time whenever she can. Marilyn says she's a huge fan of Hallmark Christmas movies. (No judgement allowed please😁). Mrs. Rivera most recently worked at the Lower Campus managing aftercare. You may reach her at mrivera@thehcla.org
Congrats to Mrs. Nayee! She and her husband welcomed their first child, Jesper Honza Nayee on June 1st. He weighed at 6 lbs 4 oz. Both mom and baby are doing well! What a wonderful blessing!

2025-2026 TUITION PAYMENTS BEGAN THIS MONTH
Families have received FACTS notifications regarding payment plans for the 2025-2026 school year over the next week. If your amount doesn't reflect the Step Up Scholarship, please be sure to send us your award ID # as soon as possible to finance@thehcla.org so that we can make that correction. This is a great opportunity to confirm your amounts prior to the first tuition draft. We will be using this year's Step Up Award amounts to set up your initial payments. Once Step Up provides the updated award amounts in July will adjust your tuition payment plans.
If you are requiring before care, after care, lunch bunch or lunch bunch extended please be sure to utilize 2025-2026 Childcare Registration Form. This form is also used should you have any changes throughout the school year. While tuition starts in June, aftercare payments will not begin until August. All child care changes will take affect on the 1st or 15th of the month and require a 15-day notice (using the same link) to be changed.
FACTS assesses a per family fee of $25 for families that set up a pay-in-full draft or $55 for families that set up a monthly payment plan. You will see that fee assessed through your FACTS account when your plan is set up. You will receive an email notification when this occurs.
As a reminder, families are responsible for checking that their tuition amount is accurate and assume responsibility for the full amount owed. If you have any questions or see any discrepancies, please notify finance immediately at finance@thehcla.org.
