Showcasing Holy Cross Lutheran Academy!
We are excited to share that our school is hosting the NLSA (National Lutheran School Association) accreditation team for our five-year accreditation visit this Sunday March 30th - Tuesday April 1st. The goal of this team, consisting of teachers and administrators from across the state, is to provide valuable feedback and ensure that we are continuing to offer a strong, faith-based education that aligns with our mission and values.
We are confident that this process will highlight the many wonderful aspects of our school and provide valuable insights to guide us as we continue to serve our students and families.

The Central Florida Cross Network (Holy Cross Lake Mary, Resurrection Church, The Cross Orlando) is looking to launch a young adult apprenticeship program called Common Life. This program is focused on high school graduates and college-aged students between the ages of 18-21. The desire is to help develop the skill of living a common life, which is built on Luther's theology of vocation and the approach to discipleship: Meditatio, Oratio, Tentatio. Their program will include a weekly meal, congregational commitment, community service, a vocational mentor, and Biblical instruction. As they develop this program, they would love to get some feedback from parents in our community. Please help them by filling out the parent survey that they have included HERE.

🌴MARCH 17 - 21🌴
CINDY MOON, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, MARCH UPDATE - March 7, 2025
Dear HCLA Parents and Families,
We continue to be proud of our students' accomplishments in the classroom, on the fields, on the courts and on stage!
Crusaders “On Stage!” Last month our Thespian Showcase highlighted the incredible talent of our middle and high school drama students! Just last week, our talented musicians (Crusader Jazz Band and Vocalists) shined brightly at the Lutheran Music Festival where they spotlighted their skills earning outstanding ratings and praise!
Crusaders "On the Courts" State Champions! We are thrilled to announce that our boys varsity basketball team brought home the State Championship Title for the second year in a row! This is a monumental achievement, and we could not be more proud of the dedication, hard work, and team spirit displayed by our athletes throughout the season.
Beyond the victories and accomplishments themselves, we are especially proud of the exemplary sportsmanship shown by our students. They continue to compete and perform with grace, integrity, and respect, truly embodying the values we hold dear at Holy Cross. Their actions both on and off the court and “performance stage” reflect our Christian ethos, and we are thankful for the strong character they demonstrated throughout the competition. We celebrate not only their athleticism and musical and dramatic talents but also their ability to reflect Christ in all they do. Their great accomplishments are testament to their commitment, perseverance, and teamwork.
God continues to bless our school through the great things happening! Our youngest students have been gleefully celebrating their beautiful new playground on Lower Campus while students at the Upper Campus are eagerly waiting for the Sports Pavillion Covering and lighting to be installed! The construction for this new structure began last week and we anticipate completion in the coming months. The enhanced sports pavilion will provide additional practice space and allow us to host a range of sporting events and activities.
We are grateful for your continued support as we strive to create a well-rounded educational experience for all. We believe this addition will further support our mission to nurture not only the academic but also the physical and spiritual development of our students. Thank you for being a part of this exciting chapter in our school’s growth and for your continued support of our school mission.
Blessings
Cindy Moon

MISSION TRIP: Pastor Chris of Resurrection Church took a group to Guatemala on a Mission Trip. Two of our students, Zachary A. and Carter J., were included in the group. The group built houses, worked at an orphanage, led Vacation Bible School and shared the love of Jesus with the beautiful people of Guatemala. Paola (Pictured with Pastor Chris) is in 8th grade and would typically stop going to school at this age because high schools are only private pay. She will now have the opportunity to attend high school because Resurrection Church will be sponsoring her to achieve her dreams and further her education. Her goal is to become a nurse and to be able to volunteer at the orphanage.
