Meet one of our new teachers at THS! This is Ms. Stephanie’s first year at The Harbour School and she is currently the Co-teacher to the Grade 5 students.
Why did you decide to join the Harbour School?
I wanted a change after working for 12 years in the same place.
What did you do before becoming a teacher at THS?
I was a Speech Therapy teaching assistant before becoming a teacher at THS.
What are some of your hobbies and interests?
I love pole fitness, cooking, creating flower arrangements and absolutely love traveling.
What sports do you like/play?
I like indoor cycling, outdoor running, and boxing.
What is your favorite genre of music and why?
I love acoustics to chill, 90s RnB for dancing, and EDM for fitness training.
Do you enjoy movies more than TV series?
I actually enjoy both - it's hard for me to choose! As long as it is rom-com, mystery or action!
What do you like to do in your free time?
I like to take my dogs out for a lovely walk along the harbor and be very cheeky to take them to pet-friendly cafes for a snack. I also like to meet up with friends for an eat-all-you-can meal! I believe food brings people together!
What was the subject that you enjoyed the most when you were in school?
Home Economics was my most enjoyed subject because I had the opportunity to explore different recipes and of course, eat them! Occasionally we designed personalized bags and tie-dyed our own skirts.
Do you think that you are more introverted or extroverted?
I am generally extroverted, bubbly and energetic but I do like being an introvert enjoying my free time on my own.
Did you play any instruments growing up? If you didn’t, did you want to?
I played an electronic piano growing up but only played it casually. I actually hope one day I can play the guitar - here's to hoping!
