Jennifer Stroud is the MS Literacy teacher and homeroom teacher of class 7/8C. She was born in Australia and graduated from the Australian Defence Force Academy with a degree in English Literature. Mrs. Stroud served for 14 years before retiring as a Lieutenant Commander. Her hobbies include crocheting and baking. She also enjoys scaring the living daylights out of her MS students.
If you could choose a country to retire to, which would you choose?
Australia.
Do you have a special talent no other student has found out yet?
No, I don't hide anything.
What is the funniest thing that has happened to you this week?
Antonio trying not to insert himself into a conversation (any conversation) in literacy.
What is your favourite song of all time?
Pretty green eyes by Ultrabeat.
If you were stuck on a desert island, which two teachers would you take to accompany you?
Ms. Tsuragai and Ms. Talreja. (Previous MS Math Teachers)
What is a life motto you live by?
Be nice to others (just not students).
In another universe, what would have been your job?
Baker.
What is one thing on your bucket list that you’d like to do?
Open a cafe.
Do you have an idol?
No.
Since moving to Hong Kong, do you have a favourite local food?
Chicken and cashew (the spicy one).
What was your favourite book, growing up?
The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by CS Lewis
If you could have a totally useless superpower, what would you choose?
Elasticity
What was the greatest adventure you’ve ever had?
Travelling through Israel.

If you could tell young Jennifer Stroud something, what would you say?
Stop being so hung up on what other people think.
What is a guilty TV show you watch to avoid grading?
Anything.
What is your favourite candy?
Chicos.
What is one thing you love about THS?
Freedom to experiment on the kids.
If you were to leave Hong Kong, what would be one thing you would miss?
The shopping convenience.
What is a life experience that you’ve had that you think made you the person you became?
Military service.
